Here are the best festivals in London that you can attend this year.

London has no shortage of festivals for you to explore and we thought we'd take a look at the best London festivals that will have you looking forward to 2024. We have festivals in all corners of the city, spanning a wide range of genres from the indie-leanings of Wide Awake to the funk, soul and disco of Cross The Tracks. Take a look below to get some plans in for the summer.

 

Project 6

When: Friday 24th May

Where: Brockwell Park, London

Project 6 is a festival packed full of underground names, with London's Rinse FM taking over Brockwell Park for a day to give you a mixture of iconic artists and cutting-edge names. Katy B, Casisdead, Shy FX and 4AM Kru are just some of the names that will kick off the May bank holiday in the best way possible.

Wide Awake

When: Saturday 25th May

Where: Brockwell Park, London

Wide Awake returns this year, the festival that highlights the pop/indie names that are determined to do things a bit differently. Last year Caroline Polachek headlined and 2024 will see the mighty King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard take the main spot, the Australian rockers who are one of the most prolific bands around.

That's tempting enough before we've even mentioned the other names heading down such as Slowdive, Young Fathers and Bodega

Cross The Tracks

Where: Brockwell Park, London

London's biggest jazz, funk and soul festival, Cross The Tracks returns to Brockwell Park this year. Always a favourite of the locals due to its involvement with the Brixton community, it also brings in people from far and wide to see a line-up stacked full of talents. This year you have the chance to see Erykah Badu, Gilles Peterson, Madlib and many more.

City Splash

When: Monday 27th May

Where: Brockwell Park, London

City Splash keeps growing year upon year and it is a must-attend for reggae, afrobeats and dancehall fans. This year they'll be treating us to sets from General Levy, WSTRN, Heartless Crew and Shenseea. Celebrating all the best parts of Caribbean culture in one place, it is always a fantastic party to be a part of.

Abode In The Park

When: Sunday 7th July

Where: Hitchin Priory, Hitchin

Situated in Hitchin, Abode In The Park will be bringing a full day of beats under the summer sun this July. We are yet to get the line-up for this one yet but rest assured they will be calling on some of dance music's finest. This year they will have more stages to cater for even more eager ravers.

Junction 2

When: Friday 26th July

Where: Boston Manor Park, Brentford

Junction 2 is the place to go if you want to explore the very best in electronic music this year. It is undergoing major changes in 2024, extending to a three-day festival where new ground will be covered. From house and techno to disco, there will be a much more eclectic range of stages for you to choose from.

51st Festival

When: Saturday 3rd August

Where: Copthall Playing Fields, London

A mainstay at Copthall Playing Fields in London, 51st Festival will be one of the most memorable weekend experiences you'll have this year. The line-up is yet to be announced but 51st State always focusses on bringing the best in House music to London and they've had some of the best in the business grace the decks.

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the postponement of 51st State Festival until 2025.

 


 

All Points East

When: Friday 16th - Sunday 25th August

Where: Victoria Park, London

All Points East is a mainstay of festival season in London, which focusses on bringing the biggest names to the capital each year. So far the headliners announced are Loyle Carner and LCD Soundsytem, both huge names for different reasons that have legions of fans. We can't wait to see who they announce next as they put on events across two weekends. 

 


 

Boogietown

When: Saturday 7th - Sunday 8th September

Where: Apps Court Farm, Walton-On-Thames

Taking place in September, Boogietown Festival is just 35 minutes away from London at Apps Court Farm. A gorgeous secluded spot, it turns into a place of dance and excitement each year. Set across four different stages, you'll be lost disco, funk and much more.

Wireless

When: Friday 12th - Sunday 14th July

Where: Finsbury Park, London

Wireless Festival is one of the biggest events in Finsbury Park and can be heard all around North London. They always pick out the biggest names from Hip-Hop, RnB, Grime and more to come and headline. Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, 50 Cent and more have graced the festival in recent years.

 


 

Brick Lane Jazz Festival

When: Friday 26th - Sunday 28th April

Where: The Old Great Truman Brewery, London

Brick Lane may be known as a buzzy Shoreditch hotspot but it also hosts some key cultural events, with one of those being Brick Lane Jazz Festival. You'll be able to catch plenty of upcoming names in the scene and you'll be treated to the likes of Qendresa, Colectiva, Ego Ella May and more.

 


 

Brixton Disco Festival

When: Saturday 4th - Sunday 5th May

Where: Multiple Venues Brixton, London

Taking over the vast majority of the venues in the Brixton area, Brixton Disco Festival returns for its sixth edition this year. They haven't revealed all of the names yet but they're off to a great start by announcing Jocelyn Brown, Norman Jay MBE, Ella Knight and more.

Desertfest

When: Friday 17th - Sunday 19th May

Where: Electric Ballroom, Camden Town

Desertfest is dedicated to all things niche when it comes to rock music. Stoner rock, Doom, Psych and Sludge rock will all be here in abundance. This is the festival to attend if you like rock music that goes into unique sonic territory, where boundaries are passed and expanded. 

 

 


 

Mighty Hoopla

When: Saturday 1st - Sunday 2nd June

Where: Brockwell Park, London

It is fair to say that Mighty Hoopla have absolutely smashed it this year with their line-up. It includes Jessie Ware, Nelly Furtado, Cher Lloyd, Eats Everything and loads more legends. A big day out for the ages, pop fans can't miss this one, we're sure it'll live long in the memory.

 


  

Soultasia London Festival Edition

When: Friday 9th August

Where: Morden Park, Morden

Soultasia is heading to London this year to put on a huge outdoor festival. Taking over Morden Park, expect to hear a mixture of smooth grooves and 80s and 90s RnB. The Real Thing, Odyssey, Loose Ends and more will be bringing the noise.

Uptown Festival 2024 On Blackheath

When: Sunday 28th July

Where: Blackheath Common, London

Uptown are going to take Blackheath by storm again this year with their headliners, the legendary Madness. The classic ska band will be playing their classics as well as tunes from their most recent albums and they'll be joined by The Zutons and Lightning Seeds making for an exciting weekend.
