Review of The Grinchmas Brunch

THE WORST EVENT! Don't waste your time or money. 

At the door we were greeted by the delightfully smug and arrogant 'events manager' who said 'we're cutting it fine' arriving at 3pm. My ticket said the event was 2-5pm with 90 minutes bottomless brunch (last entry 3pm) but he said we only have 30 minutes left. Not what the ticket or website said. Why would we spend £80 for 30 minutes? 

Apparently anything goes in this place, I booked a table for 2 and we got awkwardly sat at the end of a table full of girls. As lovely as they were this felt like a communal date with a 5th wheel playing pass the parcel with 1 bottle of Prosecco going around the table. The events manager won the game by profiting £70 pp and we lost through dehydration. 

Yes It gets better... there was no menu despite there being a fab bottomless brunch menu on impossible website. The waiter came around and put a burger and chips meal down in front of us both and went to walk away. I asked what is it (even though I knew it was meat) and he said beef burger and chips. I told him I'm vegetarian 🤢 and he quickly took it away.  I should have took a bite, caused a scene and got my money back in compensation 🤣. 

We asked for cocktails but got a communal bottle of Prosecco and a juice with a drop of alcohol, the service was non existent and none of the staff had a clue what was going on. Everything is impossible in impossible! We had one drink and left and had a fab night in blues kitchen- 100% recommend them. 

Sadly, the events manager wasn't on the door when we were leaving. He realised how embarrassing his event was and tried to save any dignity he had left and went to another bar for a non watered down cocktail and full selection of food from a menu. 

Thanks for an experience impossible. I don't wish it upon anybody. x

Review of Throwback Brunch

Been to a few throwback brunches and this was by far the worst! 
Food was terrible - We all ordered chicken burgers & chips. The chicken on the burger was cold. 
Bar service very poor - no Prosecco (only Cava), no glasses only plastic tumblers, paid for a pink Gin & Lemonade and it was soda water as the Lemonade had gone. Was then told there was no lemonade left. We then had to have Pink Gin & Redbull as a mixer due to limited options. 
Bar staff seemed deflated as if complaints off customers had got on top of them. 
Our group left early and went elsewhere as it wasn't what we expected.

The event was supposed to be a throwback 90's & 2000's music but that just wasn't what it was at all. There were a few throwback songs that were played other but that was about it. The DJ wasn't great at all he was playing songs over the top of other songs & it just wasn't what was advertised at all. There was hardly any service at all, you had to go up & get your own cocktail jugs from the bar, there was 1 drink brought to the table at the very beginning but that was about it. The toilets were ridiculous as well, 2 of the toilets didn't even have doors on, there was toilet roll in 1 toilet & a big roll of toilet paper on the sinks for the rest of the toilets & 1 rub of hand soap for the 6 sinks that were in there. Had this booked for months & have been really looking forward to it & was greatly disappointed to say the least! Wouldn't recommend at all!

Shocking organisation, def not worth the price. We left early.

It was really poorly run, complete lack of communication from 2 main workers and they were very rude when we tried to get any information.  Never again from these people . I have been to other ones and they were amazing.

Great bottomless brunch, totally recommend

Good night and value, a choice of different pre-made cocktails is my only suggestion, DJ was brilliant.
