Our approach to event programming and development involves drawing from a variety of sources. We rely on feedback received from previous events to improve and refine our approach. We also take into account guidance from the QPA board to ensure that our events align with the organisation’s goals and values. Additionally, we welcome ideas from interested parties and stakeholders to ensure that our events are engaging and relevant to the community. As a social enterprise, we are committed to achieving community benefit goals, which also guide our event planning efforts. Finally, we leverage the creativity and expertise of our wider team to develop innovative and exciting event concepts.

In short, the fencing that we have installed plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our staff working on the site as well as the integrity of the structures and equipment at the venue. Additionally, we would not be able to licence the event in Glasgow City council without a perimeter fence, as this is crucial to maintain our legal capacity.

We utilise various marketing strategies to promote our events and activities:

  • To reach immediate local residents, we also create and distribute flyers via direct mail drops throughout the year
  • Social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram are a primary tool for our general marketing. Their speed, affordability, and broad reach make them ideal for reaching a large audience.
  • To advertise within QPA and on-site, we post notices and posters on the QPA notice board and other designated boards.
  • When promoting individual events, we often list them on sites like The List, the Skinny, and What’s on Glasgow to reach a wider audience.
  • For larger events, we create press releases that we send to local papers such as Glasgow Live, The Evening Times, The Glasgowist, and the Daily Record, in the hopes of generating media coverage.

If you’re interested in volunteering for the space, you can easily sign up through our website at qpa.inhouse.scot. Our website is prominently featured on all of our branding and promotional materials, including flyers, so it’s easy to find and access.
