Classical venues for Brett Anderson

4th Aug 2008

Former Suede front man Brett Anderson is to play at some of the more unusual UK venues next month as part of a new national tour.

To celebrate the launch of his new album Wilderness - which is out in September 1st - he will start his jaunt on September 25th at Leeds City Varieties.

The next day, Anderson will travel to Manchester to play the Royal Northern College of Music, before trips to Glasgow and Brighton, with the tour ending at London Shepherds Bush Empire on September 30th.

Meanwhile, one band who won't be going on tour in September is Crystal Castles, after they pulled the dates due to recording commitments.

Gigs in Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham are affected but the Canadian electro pair are still set to play all three cities on consecutive dates between August 26th and 28th as part of a festival warm-up programme.
