Kings of Leon set for major arena tour

Tennessee's finest Kings of Leon have announced that they will take their major pre-Christmas UK arena tour to Manchester.

The Folowills will play 11 UK cities throughout December to round off a successful year - which will see their fourth studio album, Only By The Night, hit the shelves.

They will play Manchester's MEN Arena on December 16th, with gigs in Sheffield, Liverpool - at the Echo Arena - and London's O2 Arena also planned.

Glasgow, Nottingham and Brighton will also be visited before Cardiff plays host to the last date on December 17th. Tickets for the shows will go on sale tomorrow (July 18th).

At the end of last month, Kings of Leon headlined Glastonbury for the first time - along with Jay-Z and The Verve.

Earlier this week, lead singer Caleb Folowill admitted that the band were not initially planning to release a new album this year - and instead take time off to recover from touring.
