Liverpool's Jilted Generation prepare for Prodigy tour
18th Aug 2008
Dance music pioneers The Prodigy are to show if they still have what it takes after nearly 20 years together with a national six-date tour later this year.Liam Howlett, Keith Flint and Maxim - who pioneered the big beat electronic dance genre - will bring their chaotic live show to Liverpool on December 7th, playing at the city's Carling Academy.
This tour, which will also take in gigs in Birmingham, Sheffield and two dates in London at the Brixton Carling Academy, is a chance to see the band in a more intimate setting, ahead of a larger tour which is set to rock cities in the UK in 2009.
A new album - their first since the release of Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned in 2004 - is expected to be on the shelves by the end of the year.
An extended version of Music for the Jilted Generation - entitled More Music for the Jilted Generation - was released earlier this month.
