‘KOLOR’ to launch in Manchester in September at Venus

Brand new weekly underground dance music party to kick off in the city ahead of Freshers’ Week

Every September addles of students descend on Manchester, a sea of young people thirsting for the city’s rich musical heritage. There’s the newbies hitting up halls as part of Freshers weeks, and returning people that little savvier then when they arrived. Many of them will be looking for a midweek clubnight that sits comfortably within the cooler end of the dance music spectrum, and now Kolor has arrived to fulfill that need.

They will be bringing the likes of Cocoon Recordings, Hot Creations, Get Physical, Dirty Bird, Viva Music, 2020vision, Tsuba Records, Data Transmission and many more to Manchester every week. It launches in Venus Manchester, already home to Bitch and other sterling electronic music gatherings, and will be favorably priced on the wallets despite the scintillating talent on offer.

In the second room there will be an alternative musical offering to the thunderous house of techno of the main room will be ‘Miseducation’. Boasting some of Manchester’s finest Old School Hip Hop, party hip hop and classic R&B DJs, they’ll be whipping up classic storm of everything from Ice Cube to India Arie, Roots Manuva to Run DMC.

Early September 2013 will see the announcement of the first 11 weeks of ‘Kolor’ each week with its own headliner and highly respected local support. We’ll make sure you hear about it as soon as we do.
