Chic featuring Nile Rodgers @ The Ritz, Manchester

Way back in 1976, what was to be one of the most influential disco and R&B bands were born. Chic, fronted by Nile Rodgers have been responsible for some of the biggest hits of their time, including tracks such as ‘Le Freak’, ‘Dance, Dance, Dance’, ‘I Want Your Love’ as well as ‘Good Times’, which became immortalized through the Sugarhill Gang’s implementation of it in their hit single ‘A Rapper’s Delight’.

With Rodgers incredible production prowess also featuring on David Bowie’s biggest selling album ‘Let’s Dance’ and Madonna’s equally huge ‘Like a Virgin’, as well as huge hits with Duran Duran, Sister Sledge and Diana Ross, the world is left in no doubt of his overwhelming talents.

With Chic’s appearance at Manchester’s Parklife last year with support from Johnny Marr being one of the most talked about musical events in some time, the disco legends proved that they are still on top, and continue to show the world the reason why they are as highly regarded as they are.

Their appearance on May the 29th at Manchester's award winning and much loved venue, The Ritz, is one of the rare moments where you will get to see this iconic band in action.
