The arrival of the hugely popular Electric Daisy Carnival on British soil has become one of the most hotly anticipated events of the year. You only need to find out who’s playing to get an idea of just how huge this is going to be.
London’s Olympic Park will host one of the most staggering electronic music lineups we’ve ever seen.
Featuring outstanding cutting edge production values, pyrotechnics, a fairground, huge visual displays, crushing sound systems, and all manner of additional attractions, the American event has gained a reputation in its homeland as the festival that does everything just that bit bigger and better than the competition. For the first time in its distinguished history it will be crossing the Atlantic, to show the rest of us how festivals should be done.
Heading the EDC 2013 London lineup will be none other than Tiesto - Dutch superstar and trance godfather. Tiesto is one of the world leaders in electronic dance music, and has been for some time now. His no holds barred sets show both incredible versatility and creative flair, as he delivers exclusive tracks and hands in the air euphoric favourites together in Tiestos own inimitable style. It has become increasingly clear to see why Tiesto has been called a legend in his own time. His performance on 20th July will be a stunning highlight of EDC London this year.
He will be joined by Steve Angello, the master of DJing at big occasions. Steve Angello is one of the finest in his field, as his stadium house output, and his contagious enthusiasm continue to excite audiences around the world.
Joining him will be EDM legend, tireless producer, and even Grammy nominated Avicii. Now a household name, DJ magazines number 3 in the world just keeps on getting better with each passing year. EDC London will be an excellent opportunity to see the young Swedish maverick in action.
EDC favourite Alesso will also be putting in one of his trademark sets. Championed by the likes of Swedish House Mafia, and fellow Swede Avicii, the 21 year old whizz kid has risen through the ranks in incredibly quick time to become one of the most sought after DJs in his field. His set will be completely unmissable.
And finally Hardwell will be in appearance. We recently caught up with Hardwell to see what he had to say about his upcoming festival slots. Needless to say he will put on one hell of a show this July.
If all that wasn’t enough, EDC 2013 London will host a further two arenas...
The aptly named Hard Arena will feature the likes of Fake Blood, Madeon, and Porter Robinson, as well as other big hitters like Crookers, Destructo, and Rusko. For those that love their dance music heavy and relentless, the Hard Arena is a tantalising prospect.
And finally The Speakerbox Arena, curated by Radio One regular Mistajam, will feature some of the leading exponents of UK bass music and urban culture, to give EDC that London feeling. This is set to include veterans like Shy FX and Goldie, Caspa and the highly accomplished and absolute must see Jaguar Skills.
This edition of EDC is going to be one of the most essential Electronic dance festivals in Europe this year. With organizers at the helm that have been gaining praise for years now, and a crowd that are intent on having a good time, we simply cannot wait to be there, to join in the mayhem, and lose ourselves in the carnival! electric daisy carnival london tickets
