Hidden away in rural Lancashire lies this year’s edition of grassroots festival Methusala. After last years rip roaring success that saw 5,000 people turn up for a weekend of fun filled home grown talent and organically produced entertainment, Methusala return for 2013 armed with even more of the same, sticking closely to their much loved formula.

With a whole host of impressive local artists and DJs already lined up to play the festival, this week Methusala announce the impending arrival of Fleetwood based rock heroes Kiss of the Gypsy.

Way back in 1991, five local lads from Fleetwood, Lancashire landed a record deal which would send them across to America to sing with Atlantic Records, and lead to 1 album and three well received singles. With touring throughout Britain and right across the world, Kiss of the Gypsy gained themselves a huge following and for a while looked like following in the footsteps of bands like Free, Aerosmith, Steve Marriott and Bad Company.

Matters out of their hands sadly led to the band calling it a day in 1993, much to the detriment of their fans and rock music in general.

Some ten years later though and the legendary band are back! Their return is hotly anticipated in the classic rock community, as this could prove to be the chance to hear some of their classic anthems as well as some of their previously unreleased material.

With plenty of outdoor pursuits lined up as well, Methusala is proving to be one of the most exciting small festivals on the calendar.
