New French restaurant for east London

22nd May 2008

One of the most respected French brasseries in the capital is planning on opening a new restaurant in London.

Reports suggest that Le Bouchon Breton will open in Spitalfields over the summer.

The 200-seat London restaurant is being started by the team behind the successful Le Bouchon Bordelais eatery in Battersea.

As well as the restaurant, the new Le Bouchon Breton will boast a 50-seat Champagne and oyster bar and facilities for al-fresco eating during the summer months.

It is believed that seminal chef Michel Roux Jr has been consulted on the menu. Dishes at the London restaurant might include escargots de Bourgogne, chateaubriand and rognons de veau.

Le Bouchon Bordelais has been open for over two decades and has won many fans in south-west London. Its proprietor, Ian Stoppani, has been looking to open a new eatery for some years.ADNFCR-1603-ID-18605389-ADNFCR
