Content continues to shine with its carefully considered selection of headliners. Its latest shows that its finger is certainly on the pulse when it comes to the ever changing movements in the world of underground dance music.
Hailing from Lüneburg, Germany, Matthias Reiling and Hauke Freer, a.k.a Session Victim have been mainstays of forward thinking house music since they burst onto the scene back in 2008. More than five years on and these two self confessed vinyl junkies have garnered a reputation as creators of the most intelligent deep house and machine funk on the planet.
The duo have appeared on huge labels such as Delusions of Grandeur, Wolf Music, OFF, Permanent Vacation and of course, Hauke Freer's own Retreat imprint.
Regularly showing a complete disregard for the boundaries of house music, their performances are reliably full of energy and intoxicating track selections. Their show at Content is going to be something very memorable indeed.
Joining the two German lads will be Hector Moralez. Hailing from Oakland, California, Hector is a music fan through and through. Serving his time at the infamous Primal Records store in San Francisco, Hector has built an encyclopaedic knowledge of house music over the years that remains unparalleled.
With his influences ranging from latin to jazz, funk to hip hop, and house to soul, Hector has enjoyed world acclaim and featured on record labels such as Robsoul, Music For Freaks, Magnetic, and his own Minority Music imprint. Hector has also had graced the catalogues of The Factory and of course one of the hottest labels out there at the moment – Apollonia.
Expect to see him breaking out all manner of classics, exclusive gems, and maybe some stuff from his (and Chris Carrier’s) critically acclaimed Lotus S7ven album.
For the pure and unadulterated sound of house, Content have come up trumps again with a lineup that will take some beating. With a heady journey through Acid House, Deep and Soulful House, Disco, Funk, House, Soul, Tech House, right through to Techno, we anticipate yet another unforgettable night of only the finest in underground dance music.
