The guys at Content have got something of a treat in line this Good Friday.

In the age of laptop DJs, CDJs, and Serato, enter massively influential, and thoroughly French house music label My Love Is Underground to buck the trend.
A label obsessed with finding the perfect house beat, the perfect vibe, My Love is Underground (MLIU) have become one of the most popular labels in the House scene, maintaining a strictly vinyl only policy.
Headliner for the evening is MLIU boss Jeremy ‘Underground Paris’, who will be smashing the venue to bits with tune after tune of soulful, four to the floor, thumping deep house.
Harking back to the heyday of house, from ‘94 onwards, the label, and in particular Jeremy ‘Underground Paris’, continue to capture the essence of what made house music so good, and have managed to bring it fiercely up to date whilst not losing any of its soul.
26 year old Jeremy is not one of a recent crop of DJs just in it for the money. Far from it. From the age of 11 he fell in love with deep house, and ever since has set about owning most of it, with the aim of unearthing all the hidden treasures house music has to offer, all the obscure and overlooked, leaving no stone unturned. The label MLIU was founded in 2010 as a vinyl only label, combining his love of wax and the original and best New York and New Jersey house sound. His sets continue to be filled with passion and heart. Expect his exclusive DJ set to exactly mirror that genuine love for house music.
Alongside him will be label cohort Brawther. Whilst Brawther comes from a slightly different musical background, being inspired by anything from the Warp labels game changing ambient electronica, to the firmly house sounds of Larry Heard, his results captured the eye of Jeremy ‘Underground Paris’. Releasing ‘Where is Eddie’ in 2007 as a tribute to house legend Eddie Perez, it was inevitable that the frenchman was picked up for MLIU.
With the MLIU crews uncompromising outlook on house, their stay at Manchester’s Joshua Brooks venue is set to be an unforgettable foray into the golden age of house, whilst still staying very much in the present. We don’t know how they do it, but Content have organized another scorcher of a party for any true house lover.
