Preview: Yousef presents Circus New Year's Day

With the dust settling on another flabbergasting 2013 for Yousef presents Circus, the Liverpool clubnight will see out the year in intimate surroundings at the Shipping Forecast with their residents. They will also be making sure 2014 kicks off in riotous fashion with another humdinger at their East Village Arts Club home on January 1st.

It's one of the rare Circus parties where Yousef is not present, but in his absence is a cluster of the biggest names in electronic music in the shape of Circus favs and a smattering of new blood. Top of the tree is none other than Jamie Jones, the Hot Creations' leader celebrating a glorious year to date.

As well as his chart topping production outfit, his clubnight Paradise was one of the undoubted success stories of Ibiza, gifting DC10 a disco drenched sound every Wednesday with artists such as Metro Area and Harvey joining Jamie across the summer. His DJ sets remain must hear opuses, and this is his first appearance at Circus in over a year.

He'll be joined by Nic Fanciulli, one of the most consistent presences in both clubland and Circus over the past fifteen years, and legendary Detroit producer Carl Craig (watch his mesmerising performance in the Boiler Room above).

Jesse Rose also swings by, with a debut for deep duo Detroit Swindle. Residents Scott Lewis and Lewis Boardman round off proceedings.
