February see’s the launch of The Saturdays biggest every UK tour, Headlines 2011, and on the 10th the show cruises into Manchester with a sold out date at the Apollo. Support comes in the form of the hot now pop/rock boy band Twenty Twenty.
It’s fair to say The Saturdays are the biggest UK girl band on the block right now, following a hugely successful year including the release of their biggest album yet, Headlines, a massive collaboration with US rapper Flo Rida, Higher, an ITV2 reality show, and very narrowly losing out on their first number 1 with Missing You – still a monster sized top 3 pop hit. The Headlines tour promises to be an energetic, bright, and dare I say camp affair, with the girls romping their way through songs from their 3 albums, all the singles, and a few little surprises...
Recently signing their first major recording contract, Twenty Twenty Hail from Essex and Cambridge, and comprise of lead singer and guitarist Sam Halliday, his brother bassist Jack Halliday and drummer Sonny Watson-Lang. The band formed in early 2009 and have steadily created an incredible buzz prior to their major label signing. Honing their craft playing live shows with the likes of JLS, McFly, Selena Gomez and The Sugababes and touring the UK on their own headline sold-out tours throughout 2010, they amassed a huge fan base along the way. April 3rd see’s the release of the debut single ‘Love to Life’ with a mini album to follow later that month.
The Saturdays supported by Twenty Twenty appear at Manchester Apollo on Thursday 10th February.
