The Brit Awards 2011, aka The Biggest Night on the Pop Calendar, was held tonight at London's 02 Arena.
Hosted by 'comedian' James Corden, who managed to get through the event with only one or two knob jokes, the Brits enjoyed a change of award statue as well as a change of venue this year. In the first of a series of annual re-designs, this year's Union Jack adorned trophy was designed by British designer Vivienne Westwood .
Live performances on the night came from Adele, Take That, Rihanna, Mumford and Sons, Plan B, Arcade Fire, Tinie Tempah and Cee-Lo Green, who was joined onstage by Paloma Faith in a 'surprise twist'.
As predicted it was a good night for Tinie Tempah, who walked away with two awards for British Breakthrough Act and British Single for 'Pass Out'.
Arcade Fire also enjoyed multiple wins, with the Montreal group winning both Best International Group and Best International Album for 'The Suburbs'.
The hugely coveted 'Mastercard British Album of the Year' went to Mumford and Sons for Sigh no More; the band beating off stiff competition from Take That, Tinie Tempah, The XX, and Plan B.
Oh, and Robbie Williams said 'Shabba'. Twice.
