Earmarked as the godfather of turntablism, Grandmaster Flash started scratching records in the early days, whilst his innovative techniques led to lessening the gap between breaks of funk and soul records to keep the dance floor moving. These talents effectively meant Flash was one of the original DJ's creating new music from existing records. 

This brought him alongside notorious emcee's Furious Five, widely referred to as New York's number one rap group, which then transcended into a number of international hits, check out 'The Message' below.
