Salih Korkut Peker at Jamboree

A Wednesday night of Anatolian music with a unique touch, welcoming the brilliant Salih Korkut Peker.

Having studied fretless guitar-Turkish music with Erkan Ogur; maqam and harmony with Emin Igüs and Murat Opus in “NazIm Hikmet Academy Istanbul”, Salih has played around the world with Istanbul Arabesque Project as guitarist, cümbü? player and back vocalist, as well as developing his own special brand of Anatolian folk. He is currently involved in projects with his cümbüs, çaglama (saz with guitar strings), divane (a mix of saz and lute) and fretless guitar, which are a new generation of designed instruments.

Salih will play solo for the first part of the night, before being joined by a guest or two in the second.
