Lineup and details
Just when you thought they had retired from
the limelight; Pina Colada in hand, lounging on the beach with Milky Joe, The
Mighty Boosh takes over Sankeys, offering a night of a night of subversive
sounds provided by some of best outfits around. All you have to do is get into
your finest Boosh garb; be it the big haired styling of Vince Noir? Or perhaps
the subtle delights of the Howard Moon look? Do you have a mangina? It doesnt
matter, as long as youre feeling the Boosh in your blood youre bound to have
a wild night, and dressing ups worth the effort as we have incredible prizes up
for grabs for the best costumes.
Headlining weve got Filthy Dukes, currently residents at Fabric as playing along side Justice & Simian Mobile Disco well as supporting the likes of Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax, 2 Many DJs. This show will be an intimate explosion of sound when you consider its the warm up for their set on the main stage at Global Gathering later this month.
Next up Nightmoves, currently playing all over the world after shooting to infamy with their remix of Klaxons Gravitys Rainbow (voted 14th best remix of the year somewhere) theyve supported the likes of SMD, The Whip and Erol Alkan and it wont be long before their topping bills rather than supporting them, not to be missed.
Were also joined by Uncle Buck, Zane Lowes quoted them as Spearheading the recent surge in Indie/Dance and Crossover, who join us after been billed beside Justice, 2ManyDJs, Mylo, The Scratch Perverts, Mark Ronson and Sebastian.
Autokratz are joining as after rocketing to success. They started in a shed in east London, and a few months later a demo found its way into the hands of Parisian label Kitsune, featuring the likes of Digitalism, Simian Mobile Disco and Hot Chip. Their sound embodies the attitude and style of Kitsune whilst remaining distinctive and innovative, a combination which indicates that they could be something very special indeed.
With more guests to be announced and an exclusive Sankeys set from Rich Reason, Manchesters biggest new D.J. Get your ticket and come with us on a journey through time and space and enter the world of the Mighty Boosh Masquerade Ball.
