Apricot Ballroom w/ Phonetics, Rob In Purple, Fab & Frique

After parties in Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff, and London over the last few weeks, we’re happy to be back on home turf for our next Apricot, and back at Sadacca with a lineup of killer Sheffield selectors joining us.

First up is a long overdue debut from our very very good friend Rob (In Purple), who we’ve been kicking around with for the best part of 5 years, and is one of the most familiar faces on the Apricot dancefloor. A leading light of the private party scene, Rob’s contribution to all of our good times is limitless. He started DJing and collecting records a few years back, and through sheer relentless enthusiasm has made himself in to a very well regarded selector. We’re very excited to finally have him behind the decks at the party, as one of the people that probably gets the party and our crowd nearly as much as us.

Our other guests for the night are Levi and Chris from the local Phonetics party, and again are local selectors we’ve got huge huge respect for, having run their party here in Sheff for years. Their sounds are always fresh and upfront, pushing a diverse soundtrack of afro-influenced sounds.

We (Dave and Gabe) will be closing the party up as usual, bringing as many good records as our arms can carry and keeping the vibe going 'til the lights come up. We’ve also got some dead nice new speakers that we’re excited to wheel out for the occasion, and a very hefty new amp making it’s first appearance, so sound will be yet another step up.
