Springing from the Midlands, Willenhall based DJing duo 2-Minds (Luke Fitzpatrick and Ashley Carter) are souring through the ranks, without forgetting their starting point from humble beginnings, and still remaining incredibly humble and grounded to this day.
A somewhat different first chapter in their DJing career, the duo started out as mobile disco DJs playing at weddings and various other parties, and from there promoted for the popular brand ‘Spin’ at the Prince Albert in Wolverhampton several years ago.
Their consistent hard work and effort levels didn’t go unnoticed, as they made a huge breakthrough in the seemingly ever growing underground scene in Birmingham. Their first big booking came at the internationally recognised Rainbow Venues in the warehouse in 2013 for the Haunting, and their popularity hasn’t stopped since. Since their breakthrough in Birmingham and over the years you will have seen them bring their underground vibes ranging from tech house to techno, or more contrastingly the more melodic, disco tinged sounds to venues such as VOID, Amusement 13, Spotlight & Boxxed. They are also of course no strangers to rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the scene, and over the past few years they have supported some of the biggest producers and DJs within the world of underground music – Hot Creations dons Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, Dirtybird label owner and voted no 1. DJ in America Claude Von Stroke, Do Not Sleep label owner Darius Syrossian, Sidney Charles, Sant, Hannah Wants and DJ EZ – all of these individuals needing no explanation in regards to their level of success within the industry.
Alongside the DJs they have supported, from past to present they have played for the immensely successful 02:31 events both in Birmingham and on an international level for the event with sets in Ibiza, to residencies at GLAS & on a national level being hand-picked for a residency for RAW in Liverpool. Other trips for the lads have seen them perform throughout the country with sets at the Bakery in Nottingham, Nghtwrks in Chester and showing supporting for the up and coming Midlands event Lockup Sessions.
So, if you are yet to witness the superior vibe this deadly combination bring to the forefront then check them out NYE at Starworks Warehouse and NYD at GLAS
