5th Spear is Cardiff electronic producer Philip Blake. 2014 was the beginning of a new era in which he accumulated over 40 tracks, which were condensed into ‘Year One’, a free-to-download collection of his favourite works consisting of lush chimes and synths, aggressive bass lines and downtempo beats. His sound suggests influence from Brainfeeder leaders Flying Lotus and Thundercat, with homage to Ninja Tune, Ghostly International and Warp catalogues. Read more on Last.fm.
