Paul Dakeyne is a DJ/Producer who has dedicated over three decades of his life to electronic music production and DJ'ing. For seven years he toured globally as a ‘Ministry of Sound’ resident DJ and has played sets for U2 and Kraftwerk.
Although remixing around 250 records in his career, Paul landed one of dance music's seminal crossover moments with his 1994, Tinman, "18 Strings” global hit. Into the 00s, he also wrote and produced music for major BBC TV shows, worked in A&R for Mercury Records and created mash-up mixes for BBC Radio 1.
Paul’s relentless enthusiasm to integrate new digital audio technology into his productions has inspired many of his peers and students to creatively self-develop. His live event, online livestreams and lectures in Colleges and Academies have further established Paul as one of the world’s finest Music-Tech Educators.
Already an experienced public speaker, Paul added Radio Presenter and Podcast Creator to his creative activities as the 21st century dawned. He recorded sessions for ‘Ministry of Sound’ Radio, the BBC’s ‘96 NYE ‘Essential Mix’ and later, his own specialist ‘80s ElectroPop Radio Show’, hitting 3-Million global streams.
