Jess Kidd is an up and coming DJ, Producer and vocalist from the South-East of England, striving hard to put her home city of Norwich firmly on the house music map!
Jess started her musical journey at the age of 12, a self-taught singer and guitar player, where she spent most of her teenage years mastering the art of song writing and performing. This lead to various gigs in local pubs and bars, performances at local festivals and open mic nights - and even the opportunity to support 'House of the Rising Sun' stars The Animals at the age of 15...
Being raised on a plethora of Folk, Rock n' Roll, Electronica, House and County, Jess had a fantastic catalogue of music to inspire her growing up and further fuel her passion of song writing and production.
At the age of 17, Jess found herself moving to the North of England and discovering the real Heart of House Music through clubbing in Cities such as Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow. Not forgetting the dusty decks that were in the corner of every friends house party which would, in turn, lead to the 3am lessons in old-school Italian house and 90's Hacienda.
This sparked a natural desire within Jess to want to learn how to create tracks that she raved to her self, and better yet - Play them out! And so began the merging of folk singer-song writer to Producer and DJ.
After teaching her self music production, and purchasing her first set of decks, Jess made the move back to the South East to pursue a full time career in the Music industry! With in a few months, Jess was Playing in nightclubs and bars for local events brands in and around Norwich.
