Initially falling into dance music through the sounds of the late Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles and loving the soulful house and disco sounds they played, it progressed into a love of pretty much all forms of dance music. From the Old Skool 88-92 sounds that brought Acid House to the masses, to the early progressive sounds of the likes of labels such as Stress, Jackpot, Bedrock and Skinnymalinkey. Starting to DJ in 1994 but only going for 3 years before taking a 17 year break from all clubbing and DJing and starting up again back in 2014. Initially playing Old Skool gigs for a while and building back from there. Neil listens to and plays all sorts. Old Skool, Techno, House, Progressive, Disco and Edits.
He has a regular organic house / chillout show called Serenity on Newcastle's Method Radio on the first Sunday of every month.
He can be found playing around the North East to all manner of crowds liking disco, house, progressive, techno and synthwave.
Neil is also one of the residents at Manchester's YDNY that has been running since 2017 and is bi-monthly on the 3rd Saturday of the month (February / April / June / August / October / December)
