19-year-old Ruti from Ockenden was a student at the Youth Creation Performing Arts School in Stanford-le-Hope when she won The Voice in 2018. She was working hard on her singing career before that, making an appearance in 2017 as a young unknown on Village Green’s Oak Stage and in 2013, whilst a pupil at Gable Hall School, she sang in the final of Thurrock's Young Musician of the Year.
Ruti released her new single Racing Cars on 5th April and she performed the single live on the final of The Voice on Saturday 7th April - watch Racing Cars video below!
In 2017, Ruti also undertook work experience at Metal so this is very much a homecoming gig.
