Whilst best known as a producer and DJ on forward-thinking electronic labels such as London’s Trax Couture and Liminal Sounds, Air Max ’97, aka Oliver van der Lugt is also a prolific art director and sculptural artist.in 2015 AM97 launched his record label ‘DECISIONS’ to take his musical output into his own hands from the A&R to the visuals.

Coming via van der Lugt's DECISIONS imprint, his debut album, 'Nacre' is the first full-length for both artist and label. It was recorded in Melbourne and Berlin and finished off in Mexico City, and is said to reflect the Australian artist's increasingly global life, bearing "traces of fleeting yet profound geographic and emotional immersions," according to the press release. The LP features both upbeat and downcast material from the experimental producer, and the label says it diverges from dance music more than any previous Air Max '97 material has in the past.
