Hailing from Co Cork, Ireland, Aisling (pronounced "Ashling") Iris moved to London over 10 years ago and since then has become an integral part of the London music scene.
She has hosted and organised regular jam sessions in popular venues around the capital and was signed to Universal music By Tony Swain for over 2 years.
Her release " Night Time Moves" on Band-camp (also available on Spotify, iTunes etc) has earned her rave reviews in Blues and soul magazine, Had Jamie Cullum likening her title track to Omar when he played it on his BBC2 show and secured her dates at the Cheltenham Jazz festival, Summer Soulstice Festival and regular air regular on Jazz FM and Delite Radio.
She also fronts jazz quartet Neon Villages who supported jazz funk legend Marcus Miller on his Afrodeezia tour and Monk the final frontier Quartet who have played at the 606 jazz club and Birmingham Jazz festival both to rave reviews and has toured with UK Hip Hop legend Roots Manuva, supported Soul star Omar and Mercury nominee Eska live.
Currently she's recording a brand new project with Mike Flynn, (Bass player and editor of Jazzwise magazine) called Alchemical featuring the talents or guitarist Rob Luft, pianist Samuel Crowe and drummer Andrew Mclean with an EP set for release in early Summer 2018
Aisling will be joining Delite Radio's presenter team in January 2018.
