Hailing from the land of chocolate, Swiss trio Am Samstag plays grunge… but not as you know it. All the added touches that they give their core sound help transform it into something much more different. Compared to Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Babes In Toyland, Minor Threat, The Stooges, or yet Patti Smith, the band creates a sound that is the perfect blend of the purest grunge, without any contamination, and of that movement that took the name Riot Grrrl.
