Amnesia rose to prominence on the back of their one and only album release entitled Unknown Entity in 1991. They were an integral part of the British Thrash Metal scene performing with the likes of Sabbat, Xentrix, Toranaga, Slammer, Terrorvision and Metal Church to name a few. Forming in 1986, as a group of Sheffield school friends studying at Stocksbridge High School, they honed their craft resulting in the aforementioned recording which heralded them as potential saviours of British Thrash. The group though disbanded in 1993 after a number of line-up changes.
Founder members and guitarists, Simon Fairhurst and Clive Heeley have teamed up again with vocalist Simon Rose, and to complete their line-up Amnesia have recruited the services of drummer James Moore and bassist Deep Mazumdar.
