The Antonine Ensemble was formed in the summer of 2016, when we performed our first concert in the inspiring surroundings of St Michael's Church of Scotland Parish Church, Linlithgow. It is made up of local professional string players and talented students, and is directed by Alison Hastie. We aim to support local soloists, presenting fine music of the highest quality.
Alison Hastie plays viola in the Orchestra of Scottish Opera, and is a member of Music Co-Operative Scotland. She teaches vioin/viola and piano, and is deputy tutor for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Musicworks programme. She is Organist and Choirmaster at Polmont Old Parish Church, and also plays the organ at St.Michael’s RC, Linlithgow.
