Biography

Babel Station are the end product of a 1986 hit & run incident in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, and they have an aura. An almost sexual aura. When they walk in a room they make it feel like a sauna.

The trio of brothers: Jumbo, Skinner (aka Mild Salve) and Rooster (aka Ratsniff) formed the band in the summer of 2019. Soon after their birth, Nat L-G (aka That Tiny Bike Shop) was introduced to the band and offered to formulate basslines.

Renowned for their intensely original, non-compliant lyrical content, Babel's words slide like water off a duck's back. These droplets gather and caress the serrated edge upon which the profound and the profane unite, before they fall heavily in gentle succession. In this service of effortless simplicity, the wisdom of their vocabulary has become the subject of great envy. So much so, it is common to introspectively climax at their live performances.

The propulsion for these beautifully constructed sentences and expressions is the kind of music you'd like to make but don't have the right attitude. It's energetic; it's hardcore; it's nostalgic. It is perfectly melodious and fulfils you as much as it follows you home.

These boys and their companions wake up every morning to remind you that you should give all that matters the time it deserves and that change only occurs when you create the space it requires.

This is the foreword to the story of a champion bird of prey. This is dawn on the mountain. Get involved: it's beginning.
