Biography

Coastal cowgirl Bailey Tomkinson, already acclaimed nationally for her solo work and recognized by The Times, BBC Radio, The Metro and more, is poised to make a big impact in 2024. Adding a full band sound as, "Bailey Tomkinson & The Locals," they deliver a blend of pop, surf-rock, and 70’s country/folk that has evolved into a souring, stadium-filling sound. 2024 promises to be a landmark for them, with a slew of new music and a comprehensive UK tour.

Hailing from St Ives, Cornwall and described as “Britain’s Answer to Taylor Swift” by the Daily Mail, Bailey Tomkinson made headlines as an unsigned, unmanaged act, outselling Dua Lipa & The Pussycat Dolls to reach #1 on the Video charts & then again when she gave voice to the frustration felt by many around inequality and the environmental vandalism with the chart-topping single “Bright Red”.

A “brand’s dream” Bailey has appeared in campaigns for Select Models London, Levi’s, Wrangler, DC Shoes, Hunter Boots

The release of their highly anticipated EP “California Fire” saw a debut tour featuring sold-out shows The Troubadour, O2 Academy Islington and Rough Trade Bristol as well as festival appearances at Wilderness, The Great Escape, Boardmasters and support slots with Keane, Tenille Townes (AEG Presents Tour), Steph Strings (Communion Tour) & Feeder.

“With a new EP on the way too, it becomes clear that Bailey is making 2022 her year” - Wonderland

“You could soon be hearing a lot from this young British singer” - The Metro

“Wonderful” - Bob Harris

"It’s only a matter of time before Bailey is a household name” - Euphoria Magazine

“Britain’s answer to Taylor Swift” - The Daily Mail and Brad Paisley

"One of the UK's biggest artists through a slate of performances and her ever evolving musicality" & "One of the UK's most promising rising artists" - Earmilk

"Dazzled Crowds at festivals such as The Great Escape, Wilderness and Altitude Festival" - 1883 Magazine
