Banbury Choral Society is one of the leading choral societies in Oxfordshire and performs classical choral concerts, often with orchestra, at St Mary's Church Banbury and other venues in the locality. In 2017 the Choir celebrated 75 years of choral singing. The society has a membership of around 70 passionate singers drawn from Banbury and the surrounding villages, encompassing all ages from students to the retired, from all walks of life. The choir is led by the dynamic and inspirational Musical Director, Julian Harris, and is fortunate in having local author, Felix Francis, as its President.
