After a long period of playing in bands, singing in an acapella-band and having bad experiences with major-label-deals, by the mid-90s Barbara Morgenstern started to concentrate on her own songs.
By 1997, she had self-released her debut cassette EP, 'Enter The Partyzone', which caught the attention of Berlin music scene legend, Gudrun Gut, who invited Barbara to join what would become the iconic, all-female German label, Monika Enterprise. This soon lead to several wildly acclaimed early albums ('Vermona' in 1998, 'Fjorden' in 2000), and countless collaborations with the likes of Robert Wyatt, Robert Lippok, Haushcka, The Orb's Thomas Fehlmann, Gudrun Gut, Coppé and more.
For 2018, Barbara returns with her 10th solo album "Unschuld und Verwüstung" in October on new German label, Staatsakt, with a UK and EU tour commencing in November.
