Bert began as a UK alt-hip hop project, blending beat-driven grooves with a singer-songwriter influence. With radio play on BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, sold-out headline shows in London and Leeds, and nearly 3 Million views culminated on TikTok, the Brighton native is now shifting his sound with an upcoming EP that leans into indie-soul and electro-folk.

This new direction is deeply personal, inspired by moving back to his hometown and the experience of caring for his grandfather. Written in a home studio converted from his nana’s art space, the music is a journey in which Bert navigates the turbulence of transition and the value of acceptance within that.
