BETSIE GØLD is the ass-kicking nom-de-guerre of UK pop singer songwriter Beth Thornton. Growing up on a wholesome diet of before-her-time megahits by the likes of Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Queen and Blondie, BETSIE GØLD's music infuses her Generation Z pop attitude with old school songwriting.
Having talked her way into opening for Bon Jovi at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena, BETSIE GØLD most recently performed on the main stage for Runaway to Paradise with Jon Bon Jovi in The Bahamas and will be playing the Mediterranean-leg in August.
Back in the UK, performances have included Reading and Leeds festivals in 2018 and playing at The O2 in 2017. Her 2018 singles ‘Something You Don’t Know’ and ‘I Wish You Would’ were used in the hugely popular mobile game Dream League Soccer which helped bring her music to a nascent international fanbase and push her YouTube views well over the million-mark.
2019 sees BETSIE GØLD release new music - the product of a busy few months co-writing with songwriters from the UK and the USA - as well as her performing select shows over the summer.
