It was in deepest darkest Somerset, south west England, sometime in the early 90's when Nick first encountered dance music. He has vague, blurry memories of ten foot high speaker stacks, muddy fields & purple ohms. He discovered groove, bass & positivity. A good time being had by all.
Over twenty years later these things remain the cornerstones of Nick's DJ sets. Since the heady days of Somerset, Nick has worked among many aspects of dance music, from independent record shops in Camden to London's legendary nightclub fabric. A stint at a vinyl distribution company & running his own label just adds spice to the mix. Perhaps it's this wide knowledge base that keeps his DJ sets fresh, incorporating a range of genres that keeps the crowd on its toes.
From bass heavy grooves to tight techy house, via stomping techno & future disco, Nick's scope is far & wide. He's had guest slots on radio stations including Ministry Of Sound Radio, Hoxton FM & Brap FM. He's been on the same bill as many big name DJs including Scratch Perverts, Daddy G, Cut La Roc, Terry Francis, Doorly, Evil Nine, Normski & Shy Fx as well as having residencies at Versus, Tune Up & Bass[sic]. One of Nick's mixes charted at number 35 in Beatport's top 100 DJ mixes & recently he narrowly missed the top slot in the LWE DJ competition. He currently holds a residency at Bank Of Switches in East London playing the finest underground house & techno.
