Blacklisters formed in 2008, quickly earning a reputation as a formidable live act through aggressive, confrontational performances riddled with dark humour. Their music has drawn comparisons to the Jesus Lizard, Shellac, Pissed Jeans and Kong. The band have released 2 EPs, Swords (Best Enemies), and Belt Party (Childhood Sweetheart).
Blacklisters live reputation has continued to grow through gigs with Melt Banana, Rolo Tomassi and Chickenhawk amongst many others. 2010 saw them join tours by Pulled Apart by Horses and Kong, as well as being picked to play the BBC Introducing stage at Leeds and Reading Festivals. They ended the year by recording a new track for a forthcoming 10” split between Dance to the Radio and Brew.
The first Blacklisters full length 'BLKLSTRS' is out now.
