Biography

Ben Williams aka BMotion is a Drum & Bass producer, hailing from Pontypool a small town in Wales. Having first been introduced to music from an early age, Ben began his musical life playing Drums. From here he was introduced to Jazz via his father, a pianist, and began playing live shows in and around South Wales. At around age 11, Ben also started to learn to play the Guitar, again studying Jazz, soul funk and anything else he could discover.

With such an early start to music, it was only natural for Ben to continue his studies by attending a music course at college, where he was introduced to music technology and software called Logic Pro. This was the start of a delve into dance music, and ultimately Drum & Bass.

Drawn in by the driving beats and rumbling bass lines, Drum & Bass was a no brainier for Ben and BMotion was born. A few years were spent homing skills and sounds, before his debut release with Rush Records with 'Cybergenic' and 'Boss Man'. This release gained support from the likes of Bailey, Random Movement, Hoodlum and more. A great start for BMotion which led to a label called Soulvent records, where 'Circles', 'Need Your Love','All My Love' and 'Reflections' were released. 'Circles' was lucky enough to be posted by UKF and gained support from the likes of High Contrast,Logistics and Camo & Krooked.

As a result of this exposure Viper records head honcho Futurebound started to take notice and contacted Ben about a release. 'Summer Glow' was released on the 'Summer Slammers 2014' album and was then followed by Bmotion's debut solo release on Viper with 'Feelings' and 'Something Something'. The latter gained support from the likes of TC, Cyantific, Sub Focus, Matrix & Futurebound, Crissy Criss, Danny Byrd, Metrik and many more.

Now Ben is focusing on his next release and 2015 is set to be a big year for him!
