“They have a sound that seems to mark them out as a band that goes against the grain in terms of how bands from Manchester sound. Kudos to them for doing that, and extra brownie points for pulling off something that doesn't come across as pretentious” (Twenty1Zero Media)
Bourbon Street Beat are a three-piece rock’n’roll outfit based in Manchester whose music blends a strong 50’s/60’s influence with the alternative and indie scene of more recent years. With strong live performances and a debut E.P under their belt, they’re recently subject to positive local media and online reviews which have described their live sound as “beefier than a Texas Bison” (THE FUNKY MOPED. Review – The Castle Hotel 01/06/13), and a debut release that allows them to “not only have the potential to maintain Manchester’s musical legacy but engrain themselves in northern consciousness for many years to come” (josh hevicon – track of the day- unsigned).
Consist of Iain Hammond (vox/guitar), Joe Hay (bass) and Andy Mackenzie (Drums).
