Biography

Canvas Wall are a fresh take on a blend of genres, from blistering stadium rock to head bopping indie pop they manage to create a colourful interweaving and textured sound, layering spine tingling melodies over a banging vacuum packed rhythm section. Their songs sing of soul searching visions fuelled by a passion for life.

The band formed in 2008 by four like-minded musicians (Simon Dounis, Craig Rogerson, Nathan Bryans, Alvin Ho) who felt the need to create music that was different. They spent the next two years writing, rehearsing, touring and building a following and a name in London’s buzzing music scene. In 2010 they released their first single, ‘Sooner or Later’, followed by ‘Close to the Edge’ which gained national and international Radio play in the UK (BBC introducing on 3 counties radio, ONFM, Amazing FM, Total Rock Radio, Recharged Radio, Brooklands Radio, Caroline Radio, Krystal Radio) Malta (XFM, Bay Radio) and Finland (Radio Nova) which was followed by a sponsored mini-tour.

In 2011 Canvas Wall also released their first music video for ‘Close to the Edge’ under the creative wings of the world famous visual effects company, The Mill (Gladiator, Florence And The Machine’s- No Light No Light). Plans are being made in collaboration with a new clothing brand sponsor for the next video of the track ‘Stand on a Mountain’ from their Debut album titled ‘Thinking Out Loud’. After debuting the album to thousands at Malta’s Great Beer Festival, they returned to the UK to launch the album in London in August last year. With the momentum gained from the single releases, Canvas Wall has ensured that this album will not go unnoticed with radio guest appearances lined up, gigs booked around the UK along with press, album reviews and appearances on video blogs a plenty!
