After a year away from the Newcastle music scene these gentlemen return with their awesome blend of indie/punk/alternative & progressive rock. With a sense of being songsmiths without being pretentious about it – this should be a rare and awesome set.

They have some of the charm of The Bluetones but mix it up with handfuls of grit which the likes of Editors use to give them a darker, rougher edge. Successfully amalgamating pounding beats (when required) with a tuneful lustre Captain Trips have plenty of promise – The Crack Magazine
