Solo project of Songwriter and Guitarist Luke Cave, Cavey is known for a ghostly appearance and rich, theatrical voice. In an exciting debut, Cavey’s first body of work is a concept album exploring an artist’s abstract ideas of success. Centred around an apparition dubbed ‘The Spectre of the Hall’ who is the physical embodiment of ego, the record blends the introspective nuances of alt-rock, with the pageantry of musical theatre to form bittersweet, and cleverly cynical art-rock. Combined with darkly humorous lyrics, the result is a haunting metaphor for the tumultuous minds of the unfulfilled.
