Chris Carter first developed his production skills as a freelance sound engineer at the legendary ON-U Sound studio (amongst others) working with the likes of Adrian Sherwood, Little Axe, Asian Dub Foundation, and Bim Sherman.
Subsequently focusing on producing his own music from 1997 onwards, a steady stream of acclaimed releases followed on a number of underground UK-based labels. After creating one of the era’s defining vocal breakbeat tracks (with BLIM as Kasha, featuring Shara Nelson) he contributed original productions and remixes to labels such as TCR, Botchit and Scarper, Forged, En:Vision, Bedrock, Passenger, Chi, and Track, earning him a reputation as a purveyor of honed, left of centre, breakbeat-centric material.
His DJ bookings have taken him to locations all over the US, Europe, Australia and the Far East. As a media composer and sound designer, his credits include work for Universal, Sony, Sky, Bruton, Zomba, Chappell, De Wolfe and Twisted Tools.
