Chris is a singer/songwriter from Morayshire North East Scotland who has been writing and performing live from a young age.

In 2007 during a summer spent in the city of Glasgow, Chris became a regular participant in its vibrant ‘Open Mic’ Scene, gaining a reputation as a ‘must see’ live performer.

Completely spellbound by this scene, its interactive nature and the opportunity to perform live to music lovers on a regular basis, Chris decided to replicate the format upon his return to Morayshire and did so via setting up a very successful weekly ‘Open Mic’ night of his own. Such was the positive reaction to Chris and his material this proved to be the catalyst for becoming a full time professional musician and his led to him touring tirelessly and performing live ever since.

As well as being a polished performer, accomplished electric and acoustic guitarist Chris’s main attribute and USP in his distinctive and instantly recognisable singing voice.

Possessing an earthy, raspy and soulful vocal that instantly captures the listener’s attention then it comes as no surprise that many of Chris’s musical peers, fans and professional admirers often highlight the vocal similarities with the likes of Joe Cocker, Ray LaMontagne, Paul Weller etc.

In January 2018 Chris recorded a live show at a new studio called 'Rhivendell' on the Black Isle, Vol.1 is an original offering that contains new versions of two tracks from previous albums plus ten brand new songs. The country/americana album 'The Road' was released in december 2018 and a soul album 'Driftin' plus a remix/remaster compilation of Chris' first five full band albums (08-12) is due for release this year.

As well as being a solo performer Chris can be seen playing at bigger venues and larger music festivals with his band 'Chris Grant and the Blues Response Unit' not only projecting different sounds and vibes to the shows, but once again emphasises the sheer versatility of this outstanding original artist!

This is a young man whose continued success, evolving career and undeniable talent will inevitably lead to bigger and better things, culminating in the musical recognition he so richly deserves.
