It’s fair to say that the Lancashire town of Bolton is not known for it’s musical output, but 26 year old singer Chrystal is out to change that. And, with her potent brand of hybrid R&B, we reckon she’s in with a very good chance.
She announced her arrival last week with debut single, Waves, an attitude-packed, bouncy slice of R&B you can’t help but nod your head to. Chrystal delivers her lyrics with a rap-sing cadence in a style reminiscent of Ray BLK, but her northern twang separates her from the rest of the crowd and sounds refreshing amongst a sea of London based R&B acts.
