Clare has arrived in Southend via New Orleans, New York and London and her cool-voiced interpretation of standards (and the art of ‘Vocalese’ which adds words to classic jazz solos) will be enhanced by the trumpet and flugelhorn of Shanti who has played with the Brand New Heavies, Mike Westbrook’s Orchestra and John Mayer’s ground-breaking ‘Indo-Jazz Fusions’.
