Cleaning Women is a unique cult band operating with self-made instruments, consisting of three cleaning robots (CW01, CW03, CW04). The band has operated with the same line-up for more than 25 years, during which time it has amazed audiences around Tellu with more than 600 gigs, playing in at least 25 countries. Cleaning Women is releasing new music in 2025.
The group has made four albums, 3D shadow visual gigs and other special projects, film music and numerous acclaimed silent film accompaniments, which it has performed live, e.g. In the central square of the old town of Bologna, at Paradiso in Amsterdam and at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, USA. The latest jump to film music was the band's original music for the 38-minute short film The Pupils by the Italian Alice Rohrwacher, which was nominated for an Oscar nomination in the short film category in 2023. In addition to original music, Cleaning Women is also known for its alternative instrument choices.
