Lincoln-based Dancing Lotus formed in 2007. Described by Radio One as "that acoustic rap thing" on coverage of the local music scene, this seven-piece collective met as students at the University of Lincoln. It wasn't long before the guys were gigging at venues across the historic city, introducing their unique sound to both students and locals alike. After only two months together, Lotus were invited on air by BBC Radio Lincolnshire for a live set. After just a year, the band were pronounced the University of Lincoln's Students' favourite local band.
